North American Indian Alliance

Collaborative Approaches to Building Healthy Communities in Indian Country

Values & Beliefs

The North American Indian Alliance holds these core values and beliefs which underline our mission, vision and planning:

  • Individual health elevates and strengthens community health
  • Quality health care should be available , accessible and affordable to Indians in their own community and should be provided in a manner which respects their unique culture and traditions
  • A comprehensive approach to health care includes attention to physical, mental, spiritual and social wellbeing, and promotes individual growth and empowerment

Vision

Our long term vision is to become a model organization for the promotion and delivery of health care services to Native Americans. The North American Indian Alliance seeks to:

  • Serve as a community health resource center, offering education and state of the art care for conditions which are a particular threat to our community, including substance abuse and diabetes
  • Serve as a health resource for the Butte community and tribal communities
  • Serve as a model Urban Health Program that is supported by diverse funding sources and which has positive collaborative relationships with local community organizations and tribes
The North American Indian Alliance envisions an organization with a respected, supported, stable and professional staff offering a wide range of health promotion programs, health care services, opportunities for internship and mentoring, research and educational and professional development.
